Introduction : Getting Started

Welcome to the Microsoft InfoPath 2010 Essentials workshop. In this workshop, you will learn how to create, manage, and fill out interactive forms. The Microsoft InfoPath 2010 has new great features, such as the Office Fluent UI, and the ability to customize Sharepoint list forms in just one click. Are you ready to take your organization to the next level with Microsoft InfoPath 2010?

Module 1 : Opening and Closing InfoPath

In this module, you will learn how to open and close InfoPath. In addition, you will explore the InfoPath’s interface, the language used to build its forms, and the two modes that you can work in.

Module 2 : Using the InfoPath Filler 2010

In this module, we are going to look at Microsoft InfoPath Filler 2010. This will include filling out data, checking your spelling, saving the form, and printing the form.

Module 3 : Designing a Form Framework

In the last module, we looked at how to fill out a form that was designed in InfoPath Designer 2010. In this module, we will look at how to start designing your own form. The first step is to lay out the framework with a table.

Module 4 : Adding Labels

Once the framework for your form has been created, it is time to add labels. Labels will help you lay out controls for your users to enter form data. In this module, we will look at how to add and format labels.

Module 5 : Adding Controls

So far, we have created a framework for our form and added labels. All that we need is a place for the user to add their data. In this module, we will look at adding controls, which will allow your users to enter their data into the form.

Module 6 : Formatting Controls

In the last module, we learned how to add controls to our form. In this module, we’ll learn how to make controls even more useful to you and your users by changing their appearance and how they work.

Module 7 : Working with Data Sources

Every form needs a place for its information to go. In this module, we will show you how InfoPath manages form information and how you can change where the information is sent.

Module 8 : Creating a View

Once your form has been created, it is important to take the time to create a view for it. In some situations, the default view will be fine. Or, perhaps you want to separate the form into several sections for better usability. You can even create different types of views for different users.

Module 9 : Finishing the Form

Our form is almost complete! In this module, we will look at putting the finishing touches on your form. We’ll look at changing the color scheme, checking spelling, running the Design Checker, and previewing the form.

Module 10 : Distributing Your Form

Congratulations – our form is finally complete! In this module, we will look at the final steps required to get your form to your users.
